Located 10 kilometers directly south of the City of Red Deer, Junction 42 is now slated for commercial, industrial, and agri-business development. Junction 42 is a 290 acre site that is centrally located between Edmonton and Calgary. What originated as partnership with the AB Government has transformed into one of the most visible developments along the QEII. The easy access to the major highway north-south and a secondary highway east-west have caught the attention of transportation and logistics companies. The entire area of District 2&42 encompasses 11 quarter sections surrounding the Highway 2 and Highway 42 interchange. This District is intended to supplement the County’s industrial and commercial parks surrounding Red Deer, some of which are currently approaching full build out.
